Outside of the office, Shelby enjoys embracing all things New Orleans. Whether she’s riding bikes through City Park, cooking new recipes, or spending time with her husband and family, Shelby takes full advantage of the city’s vibrant culture. She enjoys attending local festivals for the food, music, and rich traditions that make New Orleans unique. Shelby is also passionate about giving back—she actively fundraises for the Billy D Foundation, a non-profit established by her husband’s family that provides scholarships to students at St. Michael’s Special School in New Orleans. In addition, Shelby remains an involved alumna of Phi Mu Fraternity, volunteering her time at both the local and national levels to support the organization’s philanthropic and leadership efforts.
Shelby S. Drouant was born and raised in Sulphur, Louisiana. She attended Northwestern State University where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2019. In 2023, Shelby graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. She was admitted to practice law in October 2023 and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
