Hobbies and Interests

Jeff’s main interest outside of work is his family, with whom he spends most of his time. When he is not at one of his children’s various sporting events, he can be found outdoors. Jeff enjoys all of the outdoor activities and pastimes associated with Louisiana and South Mississippi, including boating, fishing, being in the country, and fixing the vehicles broken in pursuit of those adventures.
Jeff G. Lagarde was born in the Greater New Orleans area and maintains strong ties to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, having graduated from St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis. Jeff obtained his undergraduate degree from LSU and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law.
Jeff’s legal career began as an assistant district attorney in Jefferson Parish, where he worked his way up to felony prosecutor before transitioning to private practice. Jeff has litigated cases throughout the state of Louisiana in both federal and state court on behalf of motor vehicle manufacturers, insurance companies, trucking and bus companies, municipalities, individuals, and other business entities. He has represented clients on a Pro Hac Vice basis in Mississippi and is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
He serves on the Board of Directors of St. Stanislaus High School in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Jeff also serves on the Board of Governors for the Louisiana State Bar Association, as well as the St. Tammany advisory board for a regional credit union, and the executive board of the Greater Slidell Bar Association.
