Biography
THOMAS W. TAYLOR was born in Brunswick, Georgia. After high school, he served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps as a Data Communications Electronics Technician for over twelve years. During his service in the Marines, Thomas deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to separating from active duty, he obtained a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Brandman University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Upon transitioning from his military career, he began studies at Tulane University Law School where he was an active member of Moot Court, competing and coaching Tulane’s JRB Admiralty Appellate Team. Thomas was recognized for his individual oral advocacy in the 29th Annual Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition. During law school, he was also a recipient of the David L. Herman Award for achieving the highest grade in Civil Law Obligations I and received recognition for obtaining the highest grade in Transactional Lawyering: Business Planning. Thomas received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane, with a certificate in Civil Law in 2023. He is married to his wife Erin, a New Orleans native, and is the father of two daughters.
