Biography

Craig Brewer was born in and is a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee in 1991 where he was a member of the golf team and played in the NCAA Division III Golf Championship as an individual.  He earned his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School in 1995 where he participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic.   Craig has an active practice, primarily focused in the areas of admiralty and maritime, insurance coverage and contract analysis, construction litigation, general casualty and product liability litigation, and commercial contract construction and negotiation.  He also provides counsel to the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry in connection with peer disciplinary processes.  Craig has been a guest lecturer in the areas of construction claims – including mold claims, defense and indemnity issues in maritime, construction and other contracts, insurance coverage and additional insurance matters, and litigation strategies for negligence actions under the Jones Act.  Craig is recognized as an AV Preeminent attorney by his peers and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeal, Fifth Circuit, United States District Courts, Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and all Louisiana state courts.  Craig is actively involved with the “Hogs for the Cause” charity through his charity barbecue Team Fleur de Que.  He is married and has three daughters.
